Three-Week Off-Leash
The Stay
A Recall You Can Trust Past Distractions
Off-leash is our most-booked stay and the one the daily videos were made for: twenty-one nights that take a dog from decent manners to a recall that holds past deer, dogs, and delivery trucks. Week one installs foundations, week two proofs them on a long line, and week three earns the leash off — only where the dog has proven it, never on hope.
The work happens on the nine acres first and in the real world second: trailheads, park edges, quiet streets, and storefront sidewalks. Every stage is filmed, so you see exactly what “reliable” looks like before your dog comes home — and exactly what handling keeps it that way.
This stay suits dogs with solid basics that fall apart at distance or under distraction, hiking and farm companions, and any family whose end goal is freedom rather than just politeness.

The Weeks
How The Three Weeks Run
Week One — Settle And Foundations
Two decompression days, then name, marker, sit, down, place, and the beginnings of a leash that does not pull. Nothing rushed; week three depends on week one.
Week Two — Proofing
The same skills under harder distractions, added in layers: other dogs, the field, road noise, visitors. This is the week the video starts to look impressive.
Week Three — Off-Leash And Handover
Long-line work moves to off-leash where the recall has earned it, then two lessons at your house so the dog answers to you, not only to us.
Good To Know
Off-Leash Questions
Reliable means a practiced recall under the distractions we trained past — not immunity to every surprise on earth. The handover lessons teach you how to read your dog and when to clip the line back on. Dogs kept to that system stay reliable; dogs given freedom on day one usually do not.
No — never. The recall is built with long-line mechanics, whistle conditioning, and reinforcement history: hundreds of paid recalls before freedom is granted. Force-free is not a marketing line here; it is the whole method.
Sometimes. If your dog demonstrates fluent foundations on drop-off day, we compress week one and spend the extra days on harder proofing. The price stays the same — you get more distraction work, not fewer days.
